FLUX5 guide: example private loan agreement

Searching for an example of a private loan agreement? This walkthrough shows the clauses a solid onderhandse lening contract contains, and why each one exists. Use it to check any template you find, or let FLUX5 generate the whole thing for you.

The opening clauses

Article 1 names the parties and the amount: "The lender makes available to the borrower a loan of €25,000, paid out on 4 August 2026." Simple, but without it nothing else holds.

Article 2 sets the rate: "The borrower owes annual interest of 4.9% on the outstanding balance." This sentence is what keeps the loan inside the market-conform band and out of gift territory.

Repayment and the safety clauses

Article 3 covers the schedule: "The borrower repays in 60 equal monthly instalments of €470.73, debited on the first business day of each month." Annuity repayment like this is required if the interest should be deductible for a home loan.

Article 4 handles missed payments and reminders, article 5 allows penalty-free early repayment, and article 6 states that Dutch law applies. Signatures and dates close the document.

FLUX5 produces exactly this agreement from your inputs, in plain language both sides actually understand. Two digital signatures later, the contract and every payment are stored and provable.
